The American film writer Akiva Goldsman (born 1962) is one of the most succesful script writers of the last decades. His career really took off in the 1990s where he wrote scripts for Joel Schumacher, amongst others - for "Batman Forever", as an example. He also wrote the script for Ron Howard's "A Beautiful Mind", for which he won an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay. After this, he wrote the scripts for "The Da Vinci Code" and "Angels and Demons", both based on Dan Brown novels. He is also behind the script for "I am Legend" from 2007.
