Explanation

2004 was the first time that the Eurovision Song Contest was split into a semi-final and a final to allow more countries to enter. "The Big Four" and the Top 10 from the year before in Riga qualified directly for the final. The rest of the countries had to fight it out in a semi-final for the 10 remaining spots in the final. 33 countries participated that year. Switzerland came last with 0 points. However, as less than 100 people voted in Monaco, the computer couldn't count the votes and just attributed points randomly. So in theory they could have had points from Monaco.
