Thrush is a fungal infection. It is very common, but also very annoying to have it around the genitals because it itches. Both men and women can get thrush and it can be passed onto you, or you can develop it yourself. It sometimes but not always lead to discharge in women. In vaginas, it is often caused by a change in the pH. Thrush is also common after a bout of penicillin, if you have eaten particularly large quantities of sugar, or when on birth contorl.
