What is Christopher Nolan's 2000 break-through film called?

Explanation

Christopher Nolan is one of the famous Hollywood directors who already at a young age (he was born in 1970) became one of the best paid in the business. His break-through came with 'Memento' (2000), which became a massive success. Later, he was behind blockbusters like 'The Prestige', 'Batman - The Dark Knight' and 'Inception'. Despite having realised a relatively low number of films, Nolan has used Michael Caine five times in different roles.
