Brazil is named after the local braziltree, and is a country rich on natural resources. It has vast agricultural areas and enormous rain forests. The capital is Brasilia and the largest cities Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. Brazil was a Portuguese colony from the 1500s to 1822.
