Michael Jackson was the eighth of ten children of the Jackson family which consisted of his parents, Joseph Walter "Joe" and Katherine Esther and his siblings Sigmund Esco "Jackie", Toriano Adaryll "Tito", Jermaine La Jaune, Marlon David, Maureen Reillette "Rebbie", La Toya Yvonne and Janet Damita Jo. His brother Brandon was a twin of Marlon, but he died shortly after birth. The Jackson Family become known as the "First Family of Soul" and later also as "Royal Family of Pop".
