When was the first electronic digital computer built?

The first fully electronic digital computer was ENIAC (Electronic Numeric Integrator and Computer), which was built in Philadelphia, USA. The project was launched during World War II, and was intended as a tool for rapid calculations in ballistics. The completed machine found a wide range of applications in numerical analysis. It took four years to build it and it was not until 1947 it was complete.
