An ordinary dice (or hexahedron) consists of six rectangular side surfaces. The six-sided dice is the most common form of dice for games. Other types of cubes include the tetrahedron and octahedron. One of history's oldest dice was found in an excavation in southeastern Iran and was part of a 5,000-year-old backgammon game. Among the famous dice games include Yahtzee, 10.000 and Meyer.
