Lake Victoria is the biggest lake in Africa, covering an area of approximately 68,000 km2. The lake is the second largest freshwater lake in the world, and has a maximum depth of 84 m. From the lake runs the White Nile, which later becomes the Nile. Lake Victoria lies in Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya.
