Zayn Jawaad Malik (12th January 1993) is known as "The Vain One" in One Direction. During the early stages of "The X Factor" Malik was noted for disappearing during the dance routines as he felt he couldn't dance. He got over this and later also his fear of water when One Direction filmed the music video for "What Makes You Beautiful".
